I was working on a beautiful project (not mine, but more about in a due time) when I saw this on Facebook… I have never read Wink’s blog but this sad news stroke me quite a lot. Maybe because I’m totally unable to sympathise a condition this girl went through during all her life. From my point of view beauty we make should help us to live better not to die. Or sometimes the efforts are simply not enough… I don’t know…. Even if I sound contradictory (but those of you who learnt to know me will understand) I say: rest in peace,Wink, and have fun!
I too was so very sad to read that Wink had departed this world, she was a wonderfully talented person and I am sure will be sorely missed by all who touched her life. Her sister has written a lovely post on http://www.acreativebeing.com and has also opened a memorial site here http://wink.muchloved.com

So sad… Although I’m not a crocheter, I recognised the blog name immediately. I’ve seen so many other bloggers do CALs of her work, which looked amazing! I’m sure she’ll be missed very much.

I was a keen follower of Wink’s blog and totally shocked when her sister made the announcement. There is a crochet mandala project to raise awareness of this dreadful illness if you’re interested. http://www.crochetconcupiscence.com/2015/06/mandalasformarinke-crochet-project-in-memory-of-wink-from-a-creative-being/
