Let’s talk about…

Hello,my friends!

Oh,yeah, let’s talk about, but with a smile as always πŸ™‚ because after annoying things there the good ones happen, as it should be. This morning I got out for a ride with my bike and I lost one of the pedals :/ :/ :/ for my sake it happened quite close to my Big man’s workplace but neither he nor me were able to fix the damage… The nice owner ot the bookshop/coffee bar I used to spend my time the first days we were in Peschiera gave me the directions for ‘bike doctors’ who solved the problem in half an hour. Oh,lucky me πŸ™‚ because now I know where I have to go in case of troubles πŸ™‚ Well,my plan wasn’t exactly that but at least I got out,had a ride, had a walk and sweated like a donkey!! πŸ˜› Oh,and enjoyed the view…

Unfortunately there’s never an end to annoying troubles…. I pulled a thread out of my mustard dress… 😦

….grrrrr…. why does not that happen to garments you do not care about at all!!! Fortunately the thread wasn’t broken and I fixed that easily. I washed the dress and now you can notice anything but I must be much more careful with my knitted goodies from now on… well, that happened on Sunday when we got home from my in Laws …. that to tell you that I was proudly showing my new garment all around and will continue to do that despite the awareness of the pulled thread in the inside…. πŸ˜›

There’s was a street market in Berceto on Sunday… I realized that I don’t talk much about my Big man’s home town and that’s not nice from me.I often refer to as ‘my in Laws’ but I don’t do justice to this nice burg on the Apennines. Maybe I still don’t feel at home there but that does not mean that I have to not talk about at all. Berceto deserves a better ambassador for sure! So from now on I’ll try to do better and I’ll start by telling that during all Summer there are a lot of small nice happenings and village fΓͺtes in Berceto and its surroundings. As I said there was a nice market with a lot of interesting stalls, mostly by handmade items. But one of them had used books and I’ve found this on it…

Artistically speaking, the ‘Art Nouveau’ period is my favourite… It is so easy to feel both the desperation and the visceral need for beauty in the work of the very beginning of the 20th century artists. My mind stops to think as I see this…

…. and this….

…. and not to talk about Gustav Klimt paintings, absolutely my favourites!! I tried to use his colours in my craft but have to admit that it is not easy at all. Maybe my mustard dress and Jennifer’s origami necklace could slightly recall his style but slightly indeed… A friend of mine told me that my granny square blanket reminds her on Klimt’s work and I have to admit that her words made me feel so good… I’ll try to use more yellow, white, black and gold in my work from now on.

My friends, do you remember that Sheila from Sewchet had a giveaway for her Bloggiversary a while ago….? and I was the lucky winner!!! Well, some days ago her parcel arrived at mine!! I was just writing this post when the postman rang the bell…Β What an excitement!! Now I’m more calm and more aware of the beauty I’m surrounded with. Hers like all the others gifts I have received up till now talk about the skill and passion and time and fondness put in crafting them. This makes me move to tears!

Enjoy Sheila’s lovely goodies!

Back online again

Hello,my friends!

Here I am again!! The internet connection is now fully functional and I am able to show you where we have moved and what I have been crafting lately… πŸ™‚

Let start with Peschiera del Garda. Those of you who were following me on Instagram had aready seen these photos but now I can arrange them with a new order and sense…

Have a look to the downtown….

…. and to the surroundings…. my favourites!!! Because I can have as many bike rides as I like!!!

We moved in a nice part of Italy and I foresee a lot of solitary rides,a condition which I like a lot. Do not misunderstand me,I’m a very sociable woman, but I love that condition which brings me to stay a lot with myself musing about my spiritual and earthly life. Oh,I’m always and so often looking for answers…

Between one question and another rising in my mind,we had settled down πŸ˜€ and I have started to decorate our home… here it is, my crafting corner… πŸ™‚

…. and the very first of the four curtains sewed and hanged.. πŸ™‚

Wine and spices can’t never miss at ours….

….as can’t good food….

And what about knitting and crocheting…..??? Don’t worry! Here I am with my last project….

…. and with some crochet cameos…

I crocheted this sweet creature for my kitchen to keep me good company while cooking or when my Big man is away… did I do the right thing… πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ ???

There are a lot of things still to do in this new home but up till now I’m satisfied with what has been done and how we had managed all the move thing! And now we are back to our normal life. Well,I miss my Parma friends but I will go back to Parma from time to time,we are not so far away πŸ™‚

I’m so happy to be online again so I can catch up with the latest news in the blogsphere! I missed you so much,I missed the way I feel when I read all your fabulous posts!! My door to the marvel of creation is open again and can’t wait to discover all the beauty you were up to lately!

In the meantime..

Hello, my dear friends!

What a nice thing to have my computer fixed and to be online again!!!

Ok, so,a lot of things happened lately and are still happening but today I had a quite relaxing day even if there were two important tasks done! Where to start, let’s see… hm… ok,let’s start from the curtains… my first task, no photos but just a few words to say that I cut out the curtains with the help of my friend Monica. Since my home is small and I have no appropriate table on which I can actually work, I had to go at hers and, since she’s a tailor, she also gave me some very useful advices. It is a great thing to have kind and sweet friends who are always willing to help. I will never stop telling that firends are very important to me and that their role in my life is basic! When you live away from home as I do, kind and gentle people are treasured like gold. So, my curtains are now cut and stored in their box ready to be sewed and hanged… Thank you,Monica!!

The boxes…. here they are…

…. I’m on the half way of packing our stuff and cleaning the apartment…oh oh oh my Big man brought back home the blanket I made a year ago… Can’t help myself, I like it a lot… I have the yarn and the pattern for a new one, but there’s always so little time…..

…. and I have a new ironing board cover….

…. Oh,the new home is going to be fancy…. Can’t wait to decorate it… πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

Up till now everything is proceeding as scheduled… I can even find time for craft…. There’s a sewing WIP….

…. for this one too, I was helped by Monica but it is still unfinished so I’ll write about as soon as it will be FO….

…. and my knitting project is growing a bit less then usual…

… to be honest, I have undone the previous work… I didn’t like how it looked, the needles I used were too thick and the tension was awful so I changed my needles and used a pair of 4 mm gauge instead of 4,5 mm. And I did well! Now the work looks better and my knitting is faster…. It is still a long project but a nice one, if the final result will be the one I have in my mind…. :/

But let’s return to the beginning of my post and to the second of today’s tasks…. my computer…. a week ago it had suddently crushed down… just like that, while I was catching up with the latest news in the blogsphere…. I brought it to the computer surgeon who was able to fix it, for my big surprise because I thought it gone for good … I’m so happy that I was wrong and so happy that I have it at mine again… So today I went to fetch it….

…. and I have so much fun riding my new bike!!! Oh,it is great to have a bike!!! I’m so very clumsy on it since last time I rode one I was maybe 16…. maybe…. I do not remember! We should have brought one earlier!!!

Well,it doesn’t matter much because I will ride the bike very often in the place we are going to live since we are 2,5 km away from downtown…. And again I can’t wait!!! Even if I’m a bit sorry to leave Parma and my friends… this is the sad part …. but I’m only a two hours of train trip away.. I foresee a lot of travelling in the future… πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚
